Peoria County is currently accepting applications for this summer’s Civic Leadership Program. The program is free and offers local high school students a unique opportunity to learn more about county government through hands-on activities at various County facilities. All Peoria County high school students are eligible to take the two-day course, including spring graduates and fall freshmen; class size is limited to 30 participants. The program is June 11 & 12; application deadline is May 25. Transportation is not provided, but lunch will be provided by Peoria County on both days.
Join us this summer for unique private tutoring sessions! All programs are one hour each week for six weeks.
Our summer learning program focuses on each student's unique needs. Whether your child needs help with building reading fluency, comprehending the written word, or understanding math computations, we are able to meet your child where he or she is.
A homeschooling friend told me about the FREE Mango Languages Online Program through Peoria Public Library. It offers 31 language courses including spanish, mandarin, italian, french, german, arabic, tagalog, hindi, pirate, and more. Yes, Pirate! That one is a fun one for the kiddos! Doing the course with your kids is a great way to learn, practice, and bond together. It is a great idea for summer enrichment.
