What's a great way to say goodbye to winter? Say hello to getting ready for spring at WPSP on Sunday, February 26th, 10am-4:30 pm when the front gate of Wildlife Prairie State Park will be opened for the 2012 season! FREE ADMISSION! WPSP is offering some special activities and programs during the day, so come see what's going on at the Park:
Animal programs on the Bricks at 12:30pm and Buster's the Bunny's 1st Birthday Celebration at 1:30pm
Animal feedings (11:30 - bobcat; 1:15 - Bones to Wolves; and 2:00 - badger, and 3:30 otter, weather permitting). Learn more about each animal from a Park naturalist who will be present to discuss habitats, diet, and other interesting facts!
Bus tours of lodging facilities (leaves from Prairie Hall at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30)
Guided walking tours of Merrill Woods and John Muir Grove (leave from Visitors Center at 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, Noon, 12:30, 1:00 1:30, 2:00)
Shop The Adventure Store for a new season of great gift items. A variety of snacks and drinks are also available.
Of course we'll be offering our fabulous Sunday Brunch so, join us from 9:30-2:30pm for the season kick-off of this culinary feast!(reservations are recommended)
