WorldFest 2009 will be held in the Exhibit Hall on Saturday, September 12, 2009, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is free.
WorldFest 2009 is a cultural event created locally by the Peoria Civic Center Authority's Cultural Diversity Committee that features live entertainment related to participating countries, ethnic food, cultural displays, and unique items for sale at the World Market booths.
WorldFest 2009 begins with an Opening Ceremony and Presentation of Flag Colors with Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis presiding. The event will include local representation from many cultures, including African American, Chinese American, Native American, Indo-American, Irish American, Italian American, Lithuanian American, German American, Peoria Hispanic Association, and Filipino American.
