Peoria County is currently accepting applications for this summer’s Civic Leadership Program. The program is free and offers local high school students a unique opportunity to learn more about county government through hands-on activities at various County facilities. All Peoria County high school students are eligible to take the two-day course, including spring graduates and fall freshmen; class size is limited to 30 participants. The program is June 20 & 21; application deadline is June 1. Transportation is not provided, but lunch will be provided by Peoria County on both days.
Little Farmers Camp at Linden Hill Farms is for children 5 - 7 years old who love animals and being outdoors. Little Farmers Camp is offered every Thursday during the Summer from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Camp activities include feeding and watering the ponies, petting the lambs, feeding the calves and hunting for chicken eggs.
Cost is $5/kid; accompanying adults are free

Due to popular demand, Lakeview Museum proudly announces Jim Henson’s Fantastic World will be extended through May 8, 2011. The Museum will offer extended hours over the final week of the exhibition to accommodate visitors.
