Halloween Science: Fake Blood, Goblin Goo, Cool Dry Ice, & Pumpkin Fun

I was googling for Halloween science experiments to do this weekend. Below are great sites for Halloween science activities and general science fun. Exposing and getting kids excited about science encourages them to observe and ask questions about the world around them. The experiments will be messy, but the trade-off is an awesome learning experience.

Steve Spangler Science has Fake Blood Recipes we will try out this weekend, since we have all the ingredients. Different ingredients to experiment with are corn syrup, corn starch, food coloring, chocolate syrup, chocolate powder. and water.

From the Kitchen Pantry Scientist, the Goblin Goo, Fizzy Balloon Monster Heads, and Alien Monster Eggs have been very successful experiments in our home.

Science Bob has some really cool looking dry ice experiments that I've never seen before. I may not try them this weekend, but sometime in the future.

Hooked on Science has an interesting activity to predict, count, and chart how many seeds are in different pumpkins. This looks to be a great activity since we’re carving out our pumpkins this weekend.
