Autism and its associated behaviors have been estimated to occur in as many as 1 in 150 individuals (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Children with these disorders can learn communication, academics, and independence.

Allergy Support Group
After seeing a growing need, a support group has been started for mothers of kids with food allergies. The group meets for dinner the third Monday of every month at an area restaurant.

Asthma Education at OSF
This education program is open to parents, children, and adults. This service fosters a partnership between patients, doctors, and parents that results in preventing and controlling asthma symptoms. Early Intervention for Young Adults and Adults
The program is designed to be an interactive educational experience for young people aged 12-18, who may be engaging in at-risk behaviors such as compulsive chemical, food, Internet or gambling use.

Kids Konnected's mission is to provide friendship, understanding, education, and support for the children who have a parent with cancer, or have lost a parent to cancer. When a parent gets cancer, the entire family is affected. Children facing the same fears and similar experiences can be helped by others in a similar situation. Peoria's Children: An Illinois Safe from the Start Program
Peoria's Children is a Safe From The Start Site and a community response dedicated to reduce the trauma of exposure to violence in children, ages 0-5 in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties. Peoria's Children offers assessment, therapeutic services, information, referral and community education opportunities. All services are free and confidential.

T.O.U.C.H.: The Organization for Understanding Children’s Hearts
T.O.U.C.H.’s mission is to provide emotional support for the parent, the child and the entire family. The group brings together parents who have common concerns, feelings and anxieties. They share information and encourage parents through their Parent’s Survival Kit, an annual fall picnic and by Heartline.
