Early Childhood Network will be conducting free developmental screenings for children birth - five years on Thursday, February 23, from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Screenings will be conducted at the Care and Treatment Board office located at 2016 N. Knoxville in Peoria. By participating in a screening, parents will better understand developmental milestones and what to expect during different stages of their child's development. A bilingual screener will be available. Referrals to developmental assistance programs will be provided as necessary.
The Early Childhood Network is a unique collaboration of service providers, as some organizations screen up to three years of age and other organizations screen up to five years. Through this collaboration, the organizations are able to screen birth to five years in one location. The Early Childhood Network includes the Boys and Girls Club, Child and Family Connections, Children's Home Good Beginnings, Crittenton Centers, Local Interagency Council, PCCEO, Early Head Start/Head Start, Peoria County Bright Futures, Peoria Public School District 150, and SEAPCO.
