The Peoria Humane Society is hosting its 14th Annual Bark in the Park on the Peoria Riverfront. Hundreds of paws and feet will walk for animals in our community. Proceeds benefit humane education, low-cost spay and neuter, cruelty rescue, volunteer opportunities, community awareness, adoption programs, and much more. Advance registration is $20.00 per dog; event day is $25.00. $5.00 per person 13 and over who want to participate but don't have a dog to walk; no fee for children 12 and under.

Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.
The clinic is open to the first 50 kids grades 2-5 who sign up and arrive at the store by 10am.

Its at Hickory Grove Park,just take Knoxville North and go until you come to Hickory Grove road (Dunlap Area after the you cross over Rt. 6).....(Arby's with a gas station is at the corner on the left) TURN RIGHT onto HICKORY GROVE ROAD. Follow the road all the way until you run into the park!

Oscar Meyer Weinermobile Celebrates Halloween at McClure Branch Library!

The Peoria Public Library McClure Branch is throwing a Halloween Party and the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile is the guest of honor on Saturday, October 30 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
The party is free and open to the public. Those attending will hear scary stories from the Weinermobile crew and enjoy a party at the library. Those attending are encouraged to come in costume.
Parking is available on the streets surrounding McClure Branch, located at 315 W. McClure Avenue, as the Weinermobile will occupy much of the parking lot. For further information call 309-497-2700.
