Electric Paint: The Computer as 21st Century Canvas, an exhibition organized by Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, WI, brings together 70 works by 22 international artists to shed light on the phenomenon of computer- generated art found on web pages, galleries, and virtual museums worldwide. Their work comprises altered photographs, free-hand painting with a mouse or graphics tablet, and fractals derived from the input of mathematical formulas resulting in fantastical portraits and landscapes that alter our sense of reality. The exhibition also includes digital video and paintings.

Heartland Festival Orchestra: Music Alive!

What: “Music Alive”

Who: David Commanday, Artistic Director with a cello solo in a special rendition of “The Dying Swan” from Camille Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals", accompanying ballerina Rebekah von Rathonyi as she dances a solo work choreographed for the legendary Anna Pavlova. Ms. von Rathonyi is the Peoria Ballet Academy Director.

Added Attraction:

Peoria Zoo staff members will be on hand with select animals to be experienced up close before the concert and during intermission. Kidder Music will provide a "petting zoo" of musical instruments for concertgoers as well.
