Join us in a recycling contest to better our community in Peoria, IL. Many of you already know that recycling has been picked up by PDC. What you may not know is that it is FREE and that all you need to do is pay a $50 deposit for the recycle bin. It is that easy.

I know it is a little late but this would be an excellent place to let the kids move around now that we have warmer weather. I'd call to see what their hours are but it sounds fun. My kids always love the monkeys.

My children feel excellent when we play this stress reduction game. It is most fun for them when they can use their outdoor voices. We say silly little phrases or meaningful phrases like 'I Love You'. You take a very deep breath and say the phrase until you have absolutely no more breath left. It works for adults too. It's a fun way to do the deep breathing stress reduction technique. My kids love it because they can be loud and silly. I love it because it de-stresses them. Some people say, 'what stress can a child have?' The answer is simple - they have tons of stress.

Children should feel excellent about themselves. Whether it is a boy or a girl, it doesn't matter. Children need to know that they are special just the way they are. It is healthy for them to know that it doesn't matter what they look like or how they behave as long as they are doing the best they can.
